My Snare Drum Collection
Hey, Brendan Jones here from H91 Drum School in Galway City, providing both online and private drum lessons. The three main Instruments on the drum kit are the Hi Hats, the Bass Drum and the Snare Drum. Each just as important as the other, but i feel that the snare drum is very much a reflection on the drummers personality as well as the type of music they’re playing.
In the above video Snare Drum Collection i have seven snare drums that i use for both live and recording, each have a very different sound and are used for different types of music, rooms and situations. I get very romantic about my snare drums, some of the drums have a story, some don’t, a few are expensive and a one or two are cheap, some of them I will sell and others i couldn’t part with. But one thing’s for sure, they all serve a purpose and they all have a job to do and when im playing them, i feel a side of my personality come out.
