Drumming Technique Course
This 12 week course is an intensive study of technique for drummers. Its aim is to give you a unique understanding and command of technique but most importantly how to apply it to your playing. It will help you play with a more efficient approach to the drums and give you the tools to become a self sufficient learner.
Who is it for?
This course is best suited for more experienced, intermediate to advanced drummers. Pre College or thinking of further studies, drummers that have an interest in learning more in-depth about technique or are having issues implementing their creative ideas on the drum kit.
Course details.
The course is held over a 12 week period. As the tuition is one to one you can start anytime of the year that suits you. There is one 30min class a week for 12 weeks and is held online through Zoom. Handouts are email to you on everything covered in each class.
Course Module

Hand Technique.
Weeks 1-4
The basic hand motions that make the foundation of hand technique. Understanding anticipation and the correlation between hand technique and dynamics. How the two hands work together with technique.

Foot Technique.
Weeks 5-8
Studying the two main foot techniques, heel down and heel up, and the benefits of combining both. Application of the techniques through Gary Cheffees Fat Back system.

Application To Drum Kit.
Weeks 9-12
Developing dexterity with the moulder technique for more effortless and efficient fills. Combining hand and foot technique to improve coordination and provide a more professional sound.
