Cajon Lessons
The Cajon lessons are suitable for both adults and children and are available online or in person.
In 2009 Brendan studied Latin Percussion with Bosco De Oliveira in Drum Tech College London. Learning the different percussion instruments, techniques and style of Latin America.
This beautiful south american percussion instrument is a great way to learn the traditional style of Peruvian music or to learn more contemporary styles like Funk, Pop, Rock, Jazz and is used a lot for Irish Traditional Music.
WHY LEARN THE CAJON?
Improve Dexterity.
Learning the Cajon will improve manual dexterity giving the hands of the student more control over skillful day to day tasks and improve their range of motion. This can help students with Dyspraxia.
Low Cost Entry Point.
Cajon is not an expensive instrument so the entry point to the instrument can be as low as €50 - €80.
Improve Rhythm.
It’s all about the rhythm with the Cajon and with accompanying Sight Reading that comes with each lesson the student learns rhythm both practically and in theory.
More Than Music.
The music styles that can be played on a Cajon are endless, but you will also learn the history of each style and how to make it sound authentic.

Lesson Options.
Online.
Learn to play Cajon Online. The Online drum lessons are done through Zoom. These lessons are taken on a school term bases and suits all age groups. €22 per 30min lesson.
House Call.
Learn to play Cajon in your home. I will come to your home and give private drum lessons working around you and your schedule. This may suit students and parents with busy lifestyles. €50 per 1hour lesson.
In Schools.
I Partner with other music schools. Most of the lessons are held in primary and secondary schools around Galway city and county. Contact for Price
