Free Drum Lesson: Advanced Subdivisions

Hey, Brendan Jones here from H91 Drum School in Galway City, providing both online and private drum coaching. This week is a Free drum lesson and is on drumming subdivisions, mainly focusing on advanced subdivisions and how to play them and the best method of remembering them. In the video the drumming subdivisions we will learn will be The Quintuplets, The Sextuplets, The Septuplets and we will finish learning the 32nd notes. In the video i will teach the topic of the fifth limb, which is a great way of remembering and recalling each subdivision. I learned this from my second drum teacher David Dean and it was him who taught me about the Fifth Limb and also, came up with the associated words for each drumming subdivision. This video will help you play each subdivision, help drummers with there timing, help you subdivide time and improve creativity with your drumming fills.
